Remember a free gift is only useful if you really want what is on offer , money saved or free insurance are much more useful in the long run . Once you have your list of prices, do not rule out your local retailer . Armed with your print out of prices approach all of them , if one offers to match , or better the best price you have get it in writing and then use that as your base line to negotiate with others . Ideally find two companies who claim they will not be beaten on price and pit them against each other.

Finally , once you have the best price you can reasonably achieve check what protection the warranty gives you and do not be drawn into buying unnecessary insurance . Check before you buy whether your standard household policy covers TVs as many do , and if not it is often cheaper to add it as a named item on your insurance than to take out a separate policy from the vendor .
